There are some very exciting times ahead. Will gay marriage, which is now set to be debated in parliament, divide communities? Many people don’t want it to go ahead, including arrogant MPs. But there are also plenty more who are full of marriage equality, and it’s wicked. I never asked Glyn to “civil union” me, I asked him to marry me. And hopefully, one day we will be able to.

Hey dudes =D
I’m sitting here finishing my assignment on Diversity! I’m almost done which is great. It was due last week on my birthday, but I had an extension.
Last week was far too busy to be completing assignments! I was preparing for my 20th birthday, on the 20th of July!
It was a really cool birthday party so I want to say thanks to everyone who came! There was a little bit of drama, but that’s all resolved now. My amazing friends and boyfriend and family made it a birthday to remember, and I got so many cool birthday cards and unexpected gifts!
Kyle Wadsworth is now 20. Wow. Where the heck did the years go? Crikey. Oh well – can’t dwell on youth, because I’m not getting any younger! Haha.
This week a lot of my friends and I have been suffering with some kind of evil flu and that hasn’t been fun. Took two days off tech this week because I just couldn’t get up, and I wasn’t happy about it believe me! But whenever I take a sick day I always make sure I check moodle work and do some extra short hand, so I don’t feel too bad about it.
I’ve got some great story ideas from you guys, so thanks for them! I’m looking forward to following up some of them tomorrow and during the weekend and next week. One of them involves dogs – but you’ll hear more about that one next week!
Aside from all of that, there is some really exciting stuff coming up with class. We’ve got “field trips” to a radio station and the TDN newsroom, plus work placements, a bicultural assignment, and a feature. Things are about to get really busy and I am looking forward to working under pressure. I think I work best that way.
