Hello everyone!
After a quiet week of only writing one story, this week I’ve got 5 on the go! Insane! I don’t want to give away the details, the other reporters might steal my ideas 
I have three interviews tomorrow, and I just completed one story, with one more to write on Thursday/Friday. Phew! I feel so active 
This week has been interesting, because yesterday we had a visit from a Witt tutor. She is a guru at web and graphic design, and has her social network interaction down to an art! I enjoyed learning about Google pagerank (where your site gets ranked from 0 – 10, the higher the number, the higher the listing on google search), Digg, LinkedIN and other sites. I already enjoy a good presence online, but I hope to improve on it as the year goes by!
My progress with Journalism is going well, with my story count currently at 9 – our requirement is 30. Once this week’s articles are out of the way, I’ll be up to 14 which is half way! Not bad for Term 2. Last week we sat our media law exam, and I think it went well. Some things threw me a little, the wording of some questions wern’t really clear but hopefully I won’t need a resit! Next week we have a web test, which I’m really looking forward to. I love positive marks!
I’ve signed a contract as a Witt student ambassador, which will give me some extra cash during the year and that’s always good! NZQA are currently evaluating Witt’s progress and I spoke at a meeting this afternoon, highlighting why I chose Witt over Wintec and why I think it’s a really good place to learn. They said they weren’t surprised at what our group said, because all their research said Witt was a really positive environment. Yay!
This weekend I’m going to be super busy with a birthday and visit to Hamilton for Glyn’s family. Also need to start thinking of what I want to do next year…hmmm.
